We’ll soon discover 2026’s big TV trend thanks to LG’s CES announcements

When CES 2026 kicks off on January 6, 2026, LG is going to be one of the biggest names people watch. The tech expo offers product reveals across the wide gamut of gadgetery and the Korean company is going to have reveals in the biggest areas, from TVs and monitors to speakers and home appliances.

LG has confirmed that it’ll host a grand press conference and live stream on January 6th at 8 am PT, which you’ll be able to watch on YouTube too. This will give us a glimpse at some of the company’s headline-grabbing releases for the year, but its presence on the show room floor at CES’ Las Vegas showroom will give us a better look at everything it has coming.

We actually already know some of what’s planned, thanks to a blog post on the CES 2026 Innovation Awards. We know about the company’s robot vacuums, 6K computer monitors and Micro RGB TVs – the latter of which could end up being one of the big TV trends of the year, with CES its big launch party.

If you’re curious about what the brand has coming in a month’s time, here’s what we expect from LG at CES 2026.

Micro RGB, Signature and OLED TVs

LG has historically taken CES as a chance to show off vast numbers of new TVs, with 2025 bringing updates of multiple lines, and 2026 won’t be any different. In fact, from LG’s Innovation Awards, we know what to expect.

The company will definitely release new OLED TVs and monitors, including an upgraded version of its transparent Signature OLED T, as well as a new top-end LCD panel with Micro RGB.

Micro RGB is a fairly new kind of tech, first released in a TV in mid-2025, which uses tiny red, green and blue LEDs to improve contrast and color accuracy. Think Micro LED, but better in a few ways and even more expensive. We’re expecting several TVs at CES to tote Micro RGB; perhaps it’s the year’s new display trend, so any fan of TV tech needs to pay attention to what LG announces.

Fans of LG will also be looking out for new entries into the LG G- or C- series, which will likely account for the awards LG was shouting about. While Micro RGB might sway heads on the Las Vegas showroom floor, this year’s G- and C- models will be the TVs tech fans and journalists will spend the year using and discussing (we named the G5 one of the most exciting TVs from CES 2025). We’re expecting them to be called the G6 and C6, despite LG having already used these names in the past for phones and TVs respectively.

Any other TVs? It’s not clear at the moment, but it’s unlikely that LG will show off some cheaper sets, as that’d give the Micro RGB, G6 and C6 more screens they’d have to share the limelight with.

Monitors, laptops and more screens

The LG 5K2K OLED

TVs aren’t the only screens to watch from LG in any given year, and that’s certainly going to be true in 2026’s CES event.

In past years, the brand has taken to CES to showing off new gaming monitors, most recently the UltraGear GX9 which we noted as one of a new trend of 5K monitors announced during the show. With various graphics cards expected to drop at CES 2026, hopefully making 5K gaming even more accessible, we’ll likely see more high-resolution gaming monitors from the brand.

The GX9’s other big selling point was OLED, and we’ll perhaps see some more mid-range OLED releases beyond the higher-end UltraGear line. That’d be welcome given the current price gulf between the OLED UltraGear and other options from the brand, and affordable OLED monitors could be one of the biggest draws across the entire CES expo.

We occasionally also see some wildcard monitors from the brand, like the LG UltraFine 6K Display we covered last year, and the lack of OLED in that model means a refreshed option would be highly sought after. We know a new version of it is coming, but there’s no word on its OLED status.

Last year LG also added some new entries into its LG Gram family of laptops, and AI was the selling point behind all of them. If ‘new’ AI is one of the brand’s selling points for CES 2026, we’ll probably see some even newer Gram laptops or 2-in-1s toting these new features.

Speakers, soundbars and hearables

While not the most prolific audio company in the world, LG often uses CES to launch its new speakers; the will.i.am-tuned xBoom refresh from last year made our list of the best audio products at CES.

It’s possible we’ll see the next batch of xBoom speakers shown off at CES, possibly with a new celebrity cheerleader although that was a novelty for the company. Refined alternatives would be more welcome.

There’s a good chance that we’ll also see one or more new soundbars shown off to accompany LG’s TVs. Last year the affordable US20A was teased but in general, the company’s soundbar line-up could do with a spring clean.

Kitchen gadgets, smart home kit and robot vacuums

New LG dryers stacked next to each other.

As in past years, household appliances and smart tech will likely be the focal point of LG’s on-the-ground presence at CES, as well as its press conference too. That’s because its emphasis this year is, apparently, “elevating daily life through Affectionate Intelligence – delivering harmonized and seamlessly connected customer experiences”.

We always see products like refrigerators, washing machines and cookware populate LG’s CES contingent, and that quote from the brand’s 2026 conference announcement points to new models having AI and connectivity features. A new washing machine may not be at the top of a tech fan’s CES wish-list, new functions or smart home systems will likely be shared by TVs and speakers, and so are still worth keeping an eye on.

We also know from the Innovation Awards that LG will announce a new robot vacuum, one designed with a small-form station that’ll use steam cleaning to stay fresh.
