Vivo has officially unveiled its latest top-end flagship, the X300 Ultra, and it’s every bit as ambitious as the teasers suggested. The device puts photography front and center, with a camera system that’s clearly designed to rival dedicated cameras rather than competing flagship phones like the Galaxy S26 Ultra. From a massive high-resolution zoom lens to a more versatile focal length setup, Vivo is positioning this as a no-compromise camera phone.

What makes the Vivo X300 Ultra stand out?

The X300 Ultra is clearly built around its cameras, and Vivo isn’t holding back. The phone features a Zeiss-backed triple-camera setup designed for different shooting styles. At the core is a 35mm “documentary” main camera that uses a 200MP Sony Lytia 901 sensor. It’s paired with a 14mm ultra-wide camera with a 50MP Sony Lytia 818 sensor.

But the star of the show is the 85mm periscope telephoto camera with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP0 sensor that brings twice as fast autofocus, lower power consumption, and a 3° gimbal-grade optical image stabilization system. Vivo also has two new teleconverters to complement this camera, including the 400mm 17.4x teleconverter dubbed “Canon 400” and a 200mm 8.7x option called “Lipstic 200.”

Other notable imaging features include 4K video recording at up to 120fps, 10-bit Log video, and support for professional color workflows like ACES. Vivo also has a new photography kit on offer, dubbed the Imaging Grip Kit, developed in partnership with SmallRig.

What else does the X300 Ultra bring to the table?

Beyond the cameras, the X300 Ultra packs top-tier hardware. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone features a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and a 1440p resolution.

Vivo X300 Ultra

Battery life is another big focus, with the X300 Ultra packing a 6,600mAh cell with 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging support. Other notable features include an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for the latest connectivity standards like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Vivo X300 Ultra will be available in three color options: black, silver, and green. It will first debut in China, followed by a global launch sometime later this year, making it the company’s first Ultra phone to launch outside its home market. However, Vivo has yet to share the global launch timeline or pricing details.
