Tissot’s T-Touch Connect Sport is a new series of hybrid connected wrist watches that offer smartwatch-like features while maintaining a traditional quartz movement. This watch has a case made out of antimagnetic titanium and fixed ceramic bezel which is water resistant up to 5 bar.

The watch features Tissot’s newly developed Swiss Low Power Operating System (Sw-ALPS) which adds a digital layer to the wrist watch. The Sw-ALPS software connects to smartphones for GPS-connected activities and also offers regular smartwatch functions but supports no third-party apps.

The smartwatch can be charged using a 2 pin magnetic connector, but can last up to 6 months on a single charge as the battery can also be charged using solar power from the photovoltaic cells in the dial.

The smartwatch lacks most of the commonly found health monitoring features and even misses out on the basic heart rate monitoring which is available only during an activity.
