The LG C4 OLED is one of the best TVs we’ve ever tested, offering incredible picture performance and great features at a lower price than flagship models. If you want the 65-inch C4, it got a great price cut for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, at just $1,300. But if you’re looking for something a bit more compact, perhaps for a bedroom or even to use as a gaming monitor, the 48-inch version is at the lowest price we’ve ever seen. We’re talking full OLED glory at just $800.

Looking for more deals? Don’t forget to check out our Absolute Best Prime Day deals post and our Amazon Prime Day live blog for all the best tech, fashion, and sleep stuff we’ve tested.

Why OLED? Imagine a pitch-black screen in which each of its millions of tiny pixels can turn on or off individually, letting even tiny flecks of light in space burn with their own perfect light. Add to that strikingly natural colors, impressive shading and shadow detail, with none of the issues LED TVs create like light bleed or dramatic off-angle image degradation. That’s why we love this deal.

The LG C4 is one of our favorites because, though it doesn’t offer the striking brightness of newer flagships like the LG G4 and G5, it’s got enough punchy HDR brightness to light up your favorite streaming films and TV shows brilliantly. Thanks to solid reflection handling, it’s plenty bright for all but the most challenging environments, and it looks virtually perfect at night.

You’ll get more than just a gorgeous picture, too. The C4 has plenty of great features, including gaming extras like VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) at up to 144-Hz (with select PCs) across all four of its HDMI inputs. LG’s webOS smart interface provides solid streaming chops, and the TV’s magic remote lets you search by scrolling, using your voice, or wielding its point-and-click cursor like a Nintendo Wii controller.

The TV’s design is slim and stylish, with a center-mount pedestal stand to fit on virtually any console and look good doing it. It all adds up to a luxury experience that can now be had at a price well below $1,000. If you need a screen for your living room, I recommend stepping up to the 65-inch model—it’s now just $100 shy of the lowest price we’ve seen, and I’m not sure it’ll get any cheaper before its gone for good.

Otherwise, grab this 48-incher and feel content that you landed perhaps the best deal around on a killer OLED TV.
