Oppo has started teasing the launch of the K13x 5G handset in India. While the company had already confirmed the colour options of the phone, it has now revealed the build details. It also divulged the durability certifications that the smartphone will come with. Oppo adds that it uses a Sponge Biomimetic Shock Absorption System for the build, inspired by sea sponges. The Oppo K13x is tipped to cost below Rs. 15,999 in the country.

Oppo K13x 5G Build, Durability Details Revealed

The Oppo K13x 5G smartphone will come with Oppo’s Sponge Biomimetic Shock Absorption System, which is inspired by sea sponges, the company revealed in a press release. It uses flexible, shock-absorbing materials with sponge-like layers to protect its internal parts from damage, the company explained.

Oppo K13x 5G will boast an AM04 high-strength aluminium alloy inner frame, which is claimed to be 10 percent more durable than other alloys. Oppo confirms that the smartphone will ship with an Anti-Drop Shield Case in-the-box.

The display of the Oppo K13x 5G will sport Crystal Shield glass protection. The screen will support Splash Touch and Glove Touch modes, which will allow users to operate the phone seamlessly with wet, greasy or gloved hands.

Oppo adds that the K13x 5G will have a 360-degree Damage-Proof Armour Body. It will come with SGS Gold Drop-Resistance, SGS Military Standard, and MIL-STD 810-H shock resistance certifications as well. The handset is claimed to meet an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

The company has already revealed that the Oppo K13x 5G will come in Midnight Violet and Sunset Peach colour options. The design suggests that the phone will sport a dual rear camera unit. A live Flipkart microsite suggests that the handset will be available via the e-commerce site.

Recent reports claimed that the Oppo K13x 5G will likely launch in India by the last week of June, priced under Rs. 15,999. The phone may pack a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, a 6,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support, a 50-megapixel main rear camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
