Life Is Strange Developer Don’t Nod Partners With Netflix For Game Adaptation Of A ‘Major IP’

Don’t Nod, the developer behind games such as Life is Strange, Jusant, and this year’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, has signed an agreement with Netflix to create a new narrative video game based on a “major IP.” The news comes from Don’t Nod’s 2025 mid-year financial report.

The developmental agreement between Don’t Nod and Netflix does not reveal which IP will be made into a game, only describing the title as “a new narrative experience that builds on the studio’s recognized expertise in the genre.” This project is currently in the works by Don’t Nod’s Montreal studio, a newer team consisting of some of the designers behind the first Life is Strange, which released its first title, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, earlier this year. Whatever this new game becomes, it will be published by Netflix.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

Don’t Nod has traditionally developed its own original choice-driven stories, so this marks the first time it will work on an existing IP.  This game will undoubtedly be based on one of Netflix’s original properties, so your guess is as good as ours as to what it could be. Stranger Things? Wednesday? Beef? An interactive fourth season of Glow? Please let it be that last one.

In the meantime, this Netflix partnership isn’t the only new project Don’t Nod has in the works. It revealed an intriguing sci-fi game called Aphelion during this summer’s Xbox Showcase, and you can learn more about it here.
