How Google Workspace can help your business grow

Smooth; effective; versatile. These are words that should describe how your business operates. One step to reach this goal of seamless success is through organization. And to keep you organized, you should get your entire team on one simple and familiar productivity platform. That’s where Google Workspace comes in. It has an app for every aspect of the business, all snuggled up under one umbrella that helps them communicate and collaborate with each other. Let’s talk about what Google Workspace is and how it can benefit your team.

Google Workspace is a suite of apps that cover virtually everything a professional office and small business needs to function. You’re probably familiar with a lot of the apps in Google Workspace from your own personal use, such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Workspace enhances all of these apps and tailors them to businesses. It also adds a few exciting new features.

“But I use those apps in my personal life for free,” you may be thinking. Google Workspace builds on the apps you’ve already been using and makes them even better for you and your business. For instance, you get between 30GB and 5TB of Google Drive storage space, depending on the tier you buy, while the free version of these apps only offers 15GB. Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are enhanced with extra collaboration and productivity features, such as admin tools that let you control who has access to which documents. Of course, collaboration is much easier with the integrated Google Chat app, which facilitates easy communication for your whole team.

One standout feature for new businesses is the ability to use your own company domain for your Gmail address. Think how professional “@yourcompanyhere.com” looks. And since you and many of your employees are likely familiar with Gmail’s inbox, adoption will be seamless.

Some of the apps mentioned above also have Gemini built in, meaning you can use AI tools to speed up every process and scale your work even faster. Gemini can suggest edits and drafts in Docs. It can help organize spreadsheets in Sheets. It can answer complex questions written in natural language. And to wrap the entire package in a nice bow, Google’s NotebookLM (which is now also included with select Workspace plans) can help you search for answers and create summaries across your company documents from one location.

Google Workspace has a 14-day trial to get you started. There are three main versions to choose from, starting at $7 per month per user. As the tiers increase you get added benefits like more storage, more AI services, and even Data Loss Prevention at the highest tier. The $7 version might be best for people just trying out a workspace app for the first time. If you already know you need one, consider the Standard version at $14 per user per month. The Plus version is best for larger businesses who may need advanced security and management controls.

Google Workspace is a great tool that will help you stay organized, collaborate across teams, and generally get more done with less hassle.
