Dying Light 2 Stay Human developer Techland has announced a new edition of its latest release, Dying Light: The Beast, which launched last year, and it’s coming soon. More specifically, Dying Light: The Beast – Restored Land Edition launches this week, on Thursday, March 26, and it will be free for anyone who already owns The Beast, as reported by IGN.
This new edition of The Beast, which follows the base launch that happened last September, will include the full base game, all post-launch content, and the Restored Land Edition content, which features a new persistent survival mode. IGN reports that in this new Restored Land content, neither zombies nor loot will respawn after you kill them/pick-up the loot, meaning this map is persistent. In a behind-the-scenes video about this new content, Techland says that when you kill all zombies in an area, it will gradually be restored to its pre-apocalyptic state, with additional humans and more.

Elsewhere in this content update, Techland has added Roadkill Rallies, which are vehicle challenges to complete. Plus, an optional One Life mode for Restored Land turns the persistent survival mode into an even more challenging experience, as if you die in this mode, your save is wiped.
Dying Light: The Beast – Restored Land Edition launches March 26, but if you already own the base game, you’ll get all the new content for free.
