Review: Womanizer Enhance

I think it’s safe to say that, at this point, Womanizer has covered it all. When it launched in 2014, the company introduced the world to Pleasure Air Technology, which stimulated the clitoris through air pressure—a first at the time. Over the years, it experimented with that technology, offering different intensities and patterns while exploring other shapes and sizes.

Last year, Womanizer put its Pleasure Air Technology on hold when it released the Womanizer Vibe, a clitoral vibrator that relied solely on vibrations to stimulate. Now, just a few months later, we’re treated to the Enhance, a two-in-one package of vibrations and Pleasure Air Technology. It’s flipping fantastic.

A Winning Combo

Womanizer typically employs medical-grade silicone and/or ABS plastic, and the Enhance is no different. The design is sleek, but the head doesn’t protrude like on other toys—it’s sunken—and will comfortably hover over any size clitoris. The device is waterproof and USB-A rechargeable.

It offers 10 levels of intensity for the Pleasure Air Control and vibrations, as well as 10 vibration patterns to choose from if that’s your thing, plus buttons to increase and decrease power. The buttons are easy to figure out, but because of where they’re placed and how you have to hold the Enhance to ensure it’s snug against the clitoris, it’s easy to accidentally switch modes and intensities. I did this a few times, unexpectedly throwing me off my game. It’s not fun to be into a specific sensation and level of power, and then for it to go in a different direction immediately. Variety may be the spice of life, but not when you’re about to orgasm.

Initially, I had no idea how the Enhance, especially based on the design and the head, was going to work, but Womanizer pulled off a two-in-one. If you want to feel the rumble of deep vibrations without any sucking, you can have that. If you prefer the Enhance feel like someone is going down on you with gentle or intense suckage, without a vibration to be felt, you can have that too.

I climaxed like rapid fire the first time I tried the Enhance. I had been messing around with the buttons for probably less than two minutes and didn’t get very far into exploring sensations when it was clear I was on the verge of an orgasm and just rolled with it. It was as close to almost instantaneous as I’ve ever gotten in my life. Since then, I’ve experimented with what the Enhance has to offer. I’m still running into occasional issues with the buttons; I need to change how I grip it apparently, since I naturally hold it tighter as I get closer to climax.

Success Rate

Womanizer claims the Enhance successfully achieved a 100 percent orgasm rate among a 100-person consumer testing panel. The company says this was a first in Womanizer history, though that’s not entirely accurate.
