So if you’re looking for a hefty discount on a phone to pair with some of the best cell phone plans and best cell phone plan deals, read onward for all of the best Verizon new customer deals.

Free iPhone SE (3rd Gen) — $0, was $430

The 2022 release of the Apple iPhone SE is yours for free when you sign up for a new 5G data plan on Verizon — no trade-ins required. It’s the best small smartphone in our list of the best smartphones with a 4.7-inch Liquid Retina display, but it doesn’t sacrifice performance as it’s powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic chip that’s also found in the iPhone 13 line and pre-installed with iOS 15. The latest iPhone SE is equipped with a single 12MP rear sensor and 7MP selfie camera, which are boosted by Apple’s software to enable better photographs.

Google Pixel 8a — $180, was $550

The Google Pixel 8a is one of the most affordable options in the Google Pixel lineup. It offers tremendous value, as it has a 6.1-inch high resolution Actua display, an amazing camera that content creators will love, and it’s able to reach up to 24 hours of life on a single battery charge. It’s also built with Google AI so you can do more faster. And speaking of performance, the Pixel 8a utilizes the same processor found in the Google Pixel 8 Pro, which makes the Pixel 8a speedy, secure, and more efficient than many phones at its price point.

Apple iPhone 15 — $0, was $830

One of the most popular iPhone models is the Apple iPhone 15, and you can currently get it for free when opening a new line at Verizon. It’s available in a variety of colors and storage options. A Verizon Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan is required in order to get the iPhone 15 for free.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro — as low as $180, was $999

Here’s a pretty crazy deal. New customers can get the iPhone 15 Pro with titanium for as low as $0 per month. When activating a new line and trading in an old device, you can purchase the iPhone 15 for about $28 per month or a one-time payment of $999 — the phone’s total cost. However, you’ll receive promo credit on your bill each month for up to 36 months as long as you choose an Unlimited plan. There is an activation fee of $35, so keep that in mind. The discount will show up at checkout.

Samsung Galaxy S23 — $0, was $700

One of Samsung’s more popular Galaxy phones, the Galaxy S23 is available for free to new Verizon customers. You’ll need to get a Verizon Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan in order to qualify, but this is one of the few deals that doesn’t require a trade-in device.

Samsung Galaxy S24+ — $200, was $1,000

The somewhat recent release of the Samsung Galaxy S24+ has seen it flying off shelves, and one of the reasons may be this deal. When you trade in an eligible device and open a new line at Verizon you can get the Galaxy S24+ for free. A Verizon Ultimate Unlimited plan is required. Additionally, you’ll get get six months of the Disney Bundle for free with this deal. That includes six months of free Disney+, Hulu (with ads), and ESPN+.

More Verizon new customer deals we love

Does Verizon offer free phones to new customers?

You bet, but temper your expectations. While Verizon’s new customer deals and sign-up offers are a good way to score a more basic phone for free (like the 2020 iPhone SE or one of the Samsung Galaxy A-series devices, to name just a couple of popular examples), you’ll still have to pay for newer, more expensive phones like the iPhone 15 Pro.

That’s not to say there aren’t cheap Verizon deals on those phones, though. Carrier sign-up discounts like these Verizon new customer deals are arguably the best and most straightforward way to snag one of those new flagships for a low price. These markdowns usually come in the form of bill credits and are only offered with unlimited plans, requiring you to buy the phone first and then get a discount on your bill. That might not sound as enticing as a standalone price cut, but that’s just psychological — you’re still getting the savings. You’ll notice those savings as you rack them up with each (discounted) monthly payment. There are even some deals, like the

trade-in offer for the Samsung Galaxy S23

, that still technically come as monthly discounts, but will completely cover the cost of the phone. That means the phone will be completely free as long as you stay with Verizon for a few years.
