15 Great Deals on Office Chairs, Keyboards, Gaming Headsets and Handhelds

I spend too much time at my desk. Between doing my job, and then alt-tabbing over to the games I play, it’s easy to lose track of how long I spend sitting at the same computer. Which means I’ve had to invest heavily into making my desk a comfortable place to be. Fortunately, you don’t have to spend as much as I have, with these great deals on keyboards, headsets, and office chairs. Plus some gaming handhelds to get you away from the desk.

We’ve rounded up sales on some of our favorite gear. You can check out the rest of our recommendations in our guides to the Best Office Chairs, Best Keyboards, Best Gaming Headsets, and Best Gaming Handhelds.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get WIRED for just $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com, full Gear coverage, and subscriber-only newsletters. Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Office Chair Deals

The Branch Ergonomic Chair is our top pick for most people. It’s easy to assemble, has a ton of customizable options to make sure it fits your posture just right, and its double-woven nylon mesh feels super comfortable to lean into. It’s also surprisingly budget-friendly as office chairs go. Branch currently has several chairs on sale, and this is one of our favorites.

If you want something a little nicer than the Branch Ergonomic Chair, then the Verve Chair is our upgrade pick. It looks nicer, helps keep your back straighter, and its customization features—such as locking the recline, extending the seat forward or back, and adjustable lumbar support—are easier to use and more refined. The only downside is that the arm rests can only be adjusted vertically, not forward and back.

Humanscale Path chair

Sometimes you just don’t have the space to fit one of those large, luxurious office chairs. If that’s the case for you, we recommend the Humanscale Path. At 20 inches wide and 21 inches deep, it takes up minimal space compared to most of our other picks. It’s fully customizable and made largely of recyclable materials. Use the coupon code COMFORT20 to get this deal.

Humanscale’s sale–using coupon code COMFORT20–extends to another of our favorite chairs for recliners: the Humanscale Freedom Headrest. This chair was shockingly comfortable in our testing. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu said it “gracefully supports [his] back like a mother gently laying a baby in a crib.”

Gaming Handheld Deals

Lenovo Legion Go with controllers

Photograph: Lenovo

The Lenovo Legion Go (5/10, WIRED Review) suffers from a lot of the same flaws as any other Windows-based gaming handheld: poor battery life, UI jank, and a lot of tweaking to get anything to work. However, it also has detachable, Switch-like controllers, a slick kickstand, and an impressive high-resolution screen. We have a lot of picks for portable gaming handhelds you should consider before looking at a Windows-based device, but if you want to go that route, then this is the model we like the best.

When I tested the Asus Rog Ally, I … didn’t like it. It gets extremely poor battery life, has all the UI jank of Windows running on a handheld, plus some extra UI jank from Asus’ software. It also struggled to play games that the Steam Deck—which has a less powerful processor—runs smoothly. With that said, it has a nice, 1080p display and is light enough to play without too much wrist strain. There are also official updates and community projects aimed at improving the software. For those reasons, the Rog Ally snuck into the tail end of our honorable mentions, but only if it’s on a significant sale.

Keyboard Deals

Corsair K100 RGB Mechanical Keyboard

The Corsair K100 is pretty standard as gaming keyboards go, but the distinguishing feature that makes it one of our top picks is the wheel. On the top-left of the keyboard, there’s a control wheel that can be customized for applications like Premiere Pro, or simply scrubbing through media and adjusting the keyboard’s lighting.

The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is a collaboration with Keychron, and as such, it has many of the benefits of our favorite Keychron keyboards. It’s heavy and sturdy, and is made of luxurious materials. Its soft, quiet keys are comfortable to type on, and you can customize nearly every aspect of the keyboard using the QMK-compatible VIA app.

Gaming Headset Deals

HyperX Cloud III Wireless Gaming Headset

The HyperX Cloud III is the runner-up pick for battery life in our Best Gaming Headsets guide. It’s very similar to the Cloud Alpha Wireless, which earned the incredibly rare 10/10, WIRED Recommends for its 300-hour battery life. The Cloud III “only” gets over 120 hours—still more than quadruple the battery life of most competing headsets—but it also comes with a USB-C dongle that makes it an excellent choice for connecting to gadgets from the Switch to your phone.

The Nova 7X headset from SteelSeries is one of our favorite gaming headsets for multitaskers. It comes with a USB-C dongle—which has a physical switch that lets you connect to both the Xbox and PlayStation, a rare cross-compatibility—as well as a separate Bluetooth connection so you can also pair with your phone. This is particularly handy if you want to play a game while still listening to music or podcasts from a different device.

Our upgrade pick for gaming headsets, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has an impressive list of bells and whistles. The GameDAC box lets you connect to multiple devices and customize your audio’s EQ. It also comes with two swappable batteries, so you can charge one in the GameDAC while you use the other. This might not look like much of a deal, but the price frequently swings as high as $350, so if you were thinking about it, now is a good time.

The Arctis 7+ (8/10, WIRED Recommends) from SteelSeries is the headset we like best for playing on the Nintendo Switch, but it’s great for a number of platforms. It comes with a low-profile USB-C adapter that makes it easy to connect to everything from the Switch to your phone. The Arctis 7+ also gets 30 hours of battery life and is comfortable to wear for longer gaming sessions.
